About the role
The vessel HAL is seeking a qualified Locksmith to join the crew at PTAMI, Indonesia. This fixed‑term position involves ensuring all door and lock systems on board are functional, secure, and well‑maintained.
Key responsibilities
- Repair, maintain and replace doors, door locks and related hardware, including passenger suitcases.
- Cut new and spare keys as needed.
- Maintain inventory of tools and materials required for locksmith duties.
- Perform other duties assigned by the FTSO.
Required profile
- Flag State issued Seaman Book.
- Minimum 2 years vessel experience; prior experience with HAL preferred.
- STCW Basic Safety Training certificate (part 4).
- STCW Familiarisation and Crowd Management training.
- STCW Security Awareness training.
- Physical ability to bend, climb, lift repetitively heavy items and work shifts up to 12 hours.
