Lead Electrical Engineer

About the role

Lead the electrical construction activities at the assigned site, coordinating contractors, vendors, design consultants and internal teams. Ensure safe, resilient and compliant electrical infrastructure for data centre projects.

Key responsibilities

• Manage electrical construction, including coordination of contractors, vendors, site engineers, QA/QC, HSE and commissioning representatives.
• Oversee installation of incoming power systems, MV/LV switchgear, transformers, generators, UPS, batteries, busway, cable trays, conduits, distribution boards, lighting, grounding/earthing and ELV/ICT pathways.
• Coordinate utility interfaces, point‑of‑entry readiness, permanent power turn‑on, energisation sequence and authority inspections.
• Ensure critical power system resilience by coordinating normal, critical and redundant electrical pathways.
• Confirm electrical room layouts, ventilation, fire ratings, arc‑flash clearances and equipment handling routes.
• Manage vertical and horizontal cable pathways in collaboration with civil, mechanical, fire protection and security systems.
• Review and close electrical RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, field changes and material approvals.
• Interface with MEP disciplines, BMS/EPMS, security, telecom and commissioning requirements.
• Monitor electrical quality control, inspection plans, NCRs, punch lists and testing documentation.
• Support schedule planning, long‑lead equipment tracking and testing/energisation readiness.
