Junior PHP Developer

About the role

Deptech Digital Indonesia is looking for a Junior PHP Developer to join its growing IT team in South Jakarta. You will work on building and maintaining backend services while collaborating closely with frontend engineers to deliver seamless digital experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable APIs and backend services using PHP frameworks.
• Implement and support a microservices architecture to ensure system performance.
• Transform Figma designs into responsive, user‑friendly frontend applications.
• Integrate APIs to enable smooth data flow between frontend and backend.
• Collaborate with both frontend and backend teams for end‑to‑end system integration.
• Manage source code with GitHub, including feature development, bug fixing, and code reviews.
• Create and maintain API documentation using Swagger.
• Follow software development best practices, coding standards, testing, and deployment procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Full‑stack Developer.
• Strong proficiency in PHP (CodeIgniter or Laravel) and JavaScript (ReactJS, Next.js, Node.js or Express.js).
• Hands‑on experience with MySQL databases.
• Experience in banking or e‑commerce projects is a plus.
• Familiarity with Agile or Waterfall methodologies and microservices concepts is advantageous.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and a collaborative mindset.
