Instrumentation Engineer (Chemical Plant)

About the role

The Instrumentation Engineer will support maintenance activities for a chemical production facility, ensuring safe and uninterrupted operations while complying with health, safety and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure maintenance work does not disrupt production or harm the environment.
• Apply company safety policies and comply with government health‑and‑safety regulations.
• Maintain premises and facilities in good condition and supervise external vendors when required.
• Follow standard operating procedures and work instructions for maintenance tasks.
• Execute delegated work orders on schedule, using tools and equipment safely.
• Troubleshoot and resolve instrumentation issues, and manage work permits.

Required profile

• Diploma with 3–5 years or Bachelor’s degree with 1–2 years of experience in instrumentation for chemical plants.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and within a team.

Required skills

• Instrumentation installation, calibration and troubleshooting.
• Maintenance and troubleshooting of DCS/PLC systems.
• Editing and managing HMI screens, functional blocks and logic diagrams.
• Understanding of safety work permit procedures.
