Humanitarian and Resilience Program Manager

About the role

The Humanitarian and Resilience Program Manager will lead the design, planning and delivery of emergency response, disaster risk reduction and resilience projects for Plan International in Indonesia. Based in Jakarta, the role supports the Programme Director and country leadership in strengthening the organization’s dual development‑humanitarian mandate.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate Plan Indonesia’s emergency response plan, ensuring rapid assessments, timely deployment of teams and post‑emergency evaluations in line with Plan standards.
• Oversee resilience programming, including community‑based disaster risk management, anticipatory action, nature‑based solutions and youth‑centered initiatives.
• Develop new projects within the Humanitarian and Resilience thematic area and work with the Resource Mobilisation team to secure donor funding.
• Provide technical guidance during project design, ensuring alignment with gender‑transformative principles and Plan impact frameworks.
• Monitor financial management, budget planning and expenditure reporting to meet internal and donor compliance requirements.
• Track technical outputs, manage risks, update project risk registers and lead project closure, audit and asset transfer processes.
• Represent Plan Indonesia in cluster coordination meetings, national and international platforms, and advocate for child rights and girls’ equality.
• Ensure all projects have integrated Monitoring, Evaluation and Research frameworks and supervise timely reporting to donors and internal stakeholders.
