Finance Coordinator (Development Project)

About the role

The Finance Coordinator will support Save the Children Indonesia’s transition to a financially sustainable, locally governed organization. Working closely with the Awards team, Finance Manager, and Humanitarian team, the role provides strategic direction and oversight of financial planning, accounting, and reporting for development projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead financial accounting and management reporting for programs and operations.
• Ensure financial efficiency, sustainability, and compliance with Save the Children International policies, national foundation regulations, and local laws.
• Develop and maintain a strong financial governance framework, identifying and mitigating organisational risks.
• Collaborate with the CFO, grant finance manager, finance officers, and accounting teams to align financial processes with strategic goals.
• Co‑lead with the Finance Manager to meet monthly spending targets and other operational delivery indicators.
• Act as a business partner for project management teams, fostering effective synergies between finance and other functions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in financial accounting, management reporting, and financial governance within a development or non‑profit context.
• Strong leadership and strategic thinking abilities to guide finance functions toward sustainability.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams and external partners.
• Knowledge of relevant regulatory and donor compliance requirements.
