About the role
The United Nations Resident Coordinator’s Office in Indonesia is seeking an Economist and Development Coordination Intern. You will support the implementation and monitoring of the United Nations Cooperation Framework 2026‑2030, contributing to research, reporting and stakeholder engagement across UN agencies and development partners.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct background research on socio‑economic trends, SDG progress and national development priorities.
- Assist in reviewing policy documents, development reports and briefing materials.
- Prepare background notes, summaries, presentations and talking points for meetings and events.
- Support stakeholder mapping, information gathering and coordination with UN agencies and partners.
- Document meetings, workshops and inter‑agency sessions, producing minutes, action trackers and follow‑up notes.
- Maintain contact lists, trackers and knowledge management tools related to SDG monitoring and reporting.
Required profile
- Current enrolment in a university programme in Economics, International Development, Public Policy or a related field.
- Strong analytical abilities and interest in sustainable development issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
