Civil Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Civil Engineer to lead project scope definition, design, procurement and construction activities for our Jakarta projects. The role involves close collaboration with clients and internal project managers to ensure civil works meet specifications, codes and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Confirm detailed project scope and objectives with the client together with the SMEC Project Manager, ensuring compliance with specifications, codes and standards.
• Finalize civil design at Feasibility Study, Front-End Engineering Design and Detailed Engineering Design levels and arrange procurement and construction contracts.
• Manage project execution, including commissioning and start‑up, while maintaining scope, cost, schedule and safety standards.
• Forecast, report and control project cost, schedule, scope and safety to meet project objectives.
• Collate hand‑over documentation and close out the project, ensuring accurate records are available.
• Report daily to Regional Leaders and the Project Manager and coordinate with technical and project management teams.
