Bridge CAD Technician

About the role

As a Bridge CAD Technician you will create electronic design plans using specialized software and work closely with engineers to turn blueprints into accurate 2D and 3D models for transportation projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prioritize work to meet project requests and deadlines, supporting engineers and project managers.
• Produce drafting and design work for bridges, drainage structures, retaining walls and other transportation items.
• Develop 3‑dimensional models from 2‑D technical drawings and create/modify drawings of roads, bridges, pipelines, etc.
• Collaborate with engineers to ensure drawing accuracy and maintain complete plan sets.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of experience in CAD drafting for transportation or structural projects.
• Associate’s degree or equivalent technical qualification.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks and meet competing priorities.
• Strong team orientation and professional attitude.

Required skills

• Microstation InRoads and/or OpenRoads (training provided if needed).
• AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Project data management from various sources.
• Interpretation of construction drawings and 3‑D thinking.
