Backend Developer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Backend Developer to design, build, and maintain high‑performance services for our internal and external platforms. You will work with Java (Quarkus) and C# (.NET) to deliver robust APIs and micro‑services while collaborating closely with frontend teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java (Quarkus) and C# (.NET).
• Create and manage RESTful APIs, defining API contracts for internal and external consumption.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle from requirements gathering to deployment and support.
• Contribute to architecture reviews and help shape new services and features.
• Debug and integrate frontend clients built with Vue.js or React.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise backend performance and reliability.
• Containerise services for Kubernetes and collaborate with DevOps for deployment.
• Implement secure database interactions with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, and write comprehensive unit and integration tests.

Required profile

• 4+ years of professional software development experience in Java, C# or similar languages.
• 2+ years designing and developing RESTful APIs.
• 1+ year building and maintaining micro‑services.
• Strong knowledge of relational (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis) databases.
• Proficiency in OOP, design patterns, and complex SQL queries.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Fluent English communication.
