Audio Visual Technician – Hotel Banquet & Guest Services

About the role

The Audio Visual Technician will ensure that all AV equipment required for events, banquet functions and guest rooms is available, fully operational and properly maintained at The Apurva Kempinski Bali. You will support the F&B and housekeeping teams, assist guests with equipment usage, and help install and troubleshoot AV solutions for meetings and conferences.

Key responsibilities

• Verify inventory of AV equipment before each event and prepare it for use.
• Set‑up, operate, and troubleshoot microphones, speakers, mixers, projectors, LED displays and video‑conferencing systems.
• Maintain and clean all AV devices, performing repairs when necessary.
• Support banquet hall audio‑video equipment, ensuring it is ready at all times.
• Keep guest‑room TV channels and transmission systems up‑to‑date.
• Document technical issues in the incident management system and notify the Shift Engineer of any abnormalities.
• Identify upgrade needs and participate in the installation of new AV recording or video‑calling systems.
• Maintain clean and orderly electrical, AV control and audio‑video rooms.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Audio‑Visual Technology, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as an AV Technician, preferably in a hotel, resort or convention centre.
• Ability to diagnose technical issues quickly and provide effective solutions.
