Associate, Environment and Planning

About the role

Aurecon is seeking an experienced Associate in Environment and Planning to lead post‑approval environmental services and expand its environmental management capability in Indonesia. The role combines project leadership, client interaction, and mentorship within a dynamic, inclusive culture.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue environmental and climate‑related projects, leveraging networks across Indonesia and the region.
• Lead proposal development with a strategic approach and manage full project delivery to ensure high‑quality outcomes.
• Conduct senior‑level reviews of technical reports and oversee administrative approvals.
• Present to clients, including proposals, kick‑offs, and progress updates.
• Mentor team members, monitor utilisation targets, and manage project financials (billing, collections, margins).
• Represent Aurecon in client meetings, internal forums, and environmental committees.
• Drive thought‑leadership initiatives to raise the firm’s profile in EIA and climate sectors.

Required profile

• Master’s or Ph.D. in environmental engineering, climate science, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in environmental consultancy, focusing on EIA and climate projects.
• Established network and relationships within the Indonesian EIA and climate industry.
• Experience working with development agencies such as the World Bank, ADB, or UNDP.
