About the role
FHI 360 is seeking an Associate Director to lead the STRIDES projects in Indonesia, strengthening infectious disease detection and supporting polio eradication. The role combines strategic oversight with hands‑on management in a fast‑paced, USG‑funded environment.
Key responsibilities
- Provide leadership and management support for the STRIDES project, ensuring alignment with donor regulations and government policies.
- Drive day‑to‑day implementation across Global Health Security and Polio portfolios, meeting work‑plan milestones.
- Build the capacity of project team members through coaching, training, and performance management.
- Track progress against indicators, resolve implementation bottlenecks, and ensure delivery of high‑quality results.
- Oversee operations, including budget, knowledge, and risk management, to maintain compliance and performance standards.
Required profile
- Proven experience leading large‑scale health or development projects in an international, donor‑funded setting.
- Strong understanding of US Government funding requirements and Indonesian health sector policies.
- Excellent collaborative skills to work with government agencies, donors, and internal departments.
- Ability to translate strategic direction into actionable plans and monitor outcomes.
