Assistant Manager, Technology – Asia Pacific

About the role

The Assistant Manager, Technology will support the implementation of formulation technology transfer across BASF sites and contract manufacturers in the Asia Pacific region. The role ensures technical consistency, provides troubleshooting expertise, and contributes to formulation, filling and packaging projects.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate formulation technology transfer to own sites and contract manufacturers, ensuring reliability and integrity.
• Provide technical support and root‑cause analysis for formulation, filling and packaging (FFP) issues.
• Support senior management on FFP capital investment and operational excellence projects.
• Update and align APA Formulants strategy, including risk management and cost optimisation.
• Develop and maintain the Formulation Manufacturing Manual and ensure consistency with global quality standards.
• Review and implement Management of Change (MOC) processes and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven experience in formulation technology transfer within the chemical or manufacturing sector.
• Strong technical background in chemical handling and process troubleshooting.
• Ability to work with cross‑functional teams and contract manufacturers across the Asia Pacific.
• Experience in root‑cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
