Assistant Executive Housekeeper

About the role

The Assistant Executive Housekeeper supports the Executive Housekeeper in managing the housekeeping department at The Apurva Kempinski Bali, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness across rooms and public areas. In the Executive Housekeeper’s absence, they assume full responsibility for the department.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise housekeeping staff to deliver prompt, courteous service and uphold hotel standards.
• Assign daily duties and special projects to room attendants and public area cleaners, monitoring progress and reporting to the Executive Housekeeper.
• Conduct random inspections of rooms, especially VIP and repeat guest rooms, and coordinate special requests such as flower arrangements.
• Inspect floors and public areas, verify contractor work, and take corrective actions to meet Kempinski standards.
• Participate in recruitment, screening and interviewing candidates for the department.
• Identify training needs, develop training plans and obtain approval before implementation.
• Maintain equipment and supplies, control usage of amenities and cleaning products to stay within budget.
• Handle guest and inter‑departmental requests, recommend service improvements, and monitor procedures for lost & found, key control, security, health and safety.
• Assist in preparing the annual manning guide, CAPEX budget and departmental budget.
• Perform administrative duties such as attending meetings, writing reports and maintaining daily logs.

Required profile

• Indonesian citizen.
• Equivalent to a college degree in Administration of Hotel Management.
