Warehouse Quality Control, Senior Supervisor

About the role

Astro Technologies Indonesia is a fast‑growing quick‑commerce company that delivers groceries and essentials within minutes. The Warehouse Quality Control Senior Supervisor will lead the end‑to‑end quality control function for fresh categories (fruits, vegetables, eggs, dairy, frozen products) inside the warehouse, ensuring product quality from inbound to outbound.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee inbound QC processes, verify and assess product quality, and decide on acceptance or rejection.
• Conduct stock screening in storage areas to identify near‑expiry items and define action plans.
• Maintain proper temperature handling across inbound, storage, and outbound stages.
• Collaborate with Category Management on product specification discrepancies and negotiate resolutions.
• Manage over‑commitment issues with vendors regarding size, weight, or specification mismatches.
• Analyze waste across operational stages and implement initiatives to reduce shrinkage.
• Lead and supervise a QC team of approximately 20 direct reports and 45 total staff in the warehouse.
• Collect, validate, and process quality data for reporting and decision‑making.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (S1/D4) in any field, preferably Food Science, Agribusiness, or Management.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a QA/QC Supervisor handling fresh or frozen products in FMCG, retail, e‑commerce, or F&B.
• Hands‑on experience with fresh and frozen products such as fruits, vegetables, eggs, dairy, and frozen foods.
• Proven leadership abilities with solid judgment and decision‑making skills.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience in validating and processing quality data.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic retail environment and meet deadlines.
