Vice President, Energy Broking

About the role

Marsh is looking for a Vice President to lead its Energy Broking team in Jakarta. This hybrid position requires at least three days a week in the office and focuses on developing placement solutions for the energy, power, and mining sectors in Indonesia.

Key responsibilities

• Use deep risk expertise and industry knowledge to design placement solutions that meet client needs.
• Implement placement strategies to drive growth, retain existing clients, and generate new business.
• Develop go‑to‑market strategies, articulate the value of the placement function, and participate in pricing services.
• Facilitate coverage specifications, obtain carrier quotes, and bind coverage with accurate binders.
• Maintain relationships with practice teams, insurance markets, carriers, underwriters, and client executives.
• Advise clients on market developments and support senior placement on assigned accounts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, Risk Management or related field.
• 10–15 years of commercial insurance experience, preferably in broking of complex specialty lines within the upstream/downstream oil & gas sector.
• Proven track record in client leadership, commercial growth, and portfolio profitability.
• Experience managing and coaching high‑performing, matrixed teams across regional or global offices.
