Transaction Monitoring Analyst (Remote, LATAM/APAC timezone)

About the role

As a Transaction Monitoring Analyst you will protect the integrity of the Bitfinex platform by detecting, investigating and mitigating financial‑crime risks across fiat and crypto transactions. You will work within a global compliance team, collaborating with AML investigators, product owners and senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and fine‑tune transaction monitoring algorithms to detect AML, terrorism financing, sanctions and other compliance risks.
• Analyze alerts from fiat (wire and non‑wire) and crypto (on‑chain and off‑chain) flows, investigate suspicious activity and escalate urgent cases.
• Prepare periodic reports on ML/TF/Sanctions anomalies for the Chief Compliance Officer and product managers.
• Adjust risk parameters to keep exposure within the platform’s risk appetite and contribute to process improvements.

Required profile

• Experience in compliance or financial‑crime roles with solid understanding of AML/KYC/CTF regulations.
• Familiarity with blockchain concepts and ability to interpret on‑chain transaction data.
• University degree and preferably CAMS or CBP certification.
• Strong analytical, critical‑thinking and communication skills.
