Software Engineer (AI Development)

About the role

A company is looking for a Software Engineer to design and build AI-powered tools and systems that support its growing group of businesses. The role is hands-on: you will build the actual applications and integrations that bring AI into daily operations, from internal automation to smarter workflows across business units. The position is full time.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain AI-powered applications and internal tools
• Integrate AI/LLM APIs (e.g. Claude, OpenAI) into business systems and workflows
• Develop automation solutions combining traditional software engineering with AI capabilities
• Build and maintain data pipelines supporting AI features (collection, cleaning, structuring)
• Work with business units to find where AI solves real operational problems
• Test, evaluate and iterate on AI features based on real-world performance and feedback
• Stay up to date with AI tools and frameworks and recommend what to adopt

Required profile

• 2+ years of professional software development experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Willingness or placement in Denpasar, Bali
• Ability to explain technical and AI concepts to non-technical colleagues

Required skills

• Proficiency in at least one modern language or stack (e.g. Python, JavaScript/TypeScript)
• Hands-on experience integrating AI/LLM APIs into applications
• Familiarity with databases (SQL/NoSQL), APIs and Git
• Understanding of prompt engineering and LLMs in production; workflow automation platforms such as n8n or Zapier are a strong plus
