Senior Technical Architect – East SEA

About the role

Mastercard is looking for a Senior Specialist who will act as a technical architect for its Customer Solutions Center in East Southeast Asia. You will partner with solution architects, product specialists and account teams to turn business opportunities into scalable, secure payment solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Solution Architects and product teams to design customer‑centric payment solutions.
• Lead technical discovery, architecture assessments and create integration roadmaps for complex client opportunities.
• Design integration approaches for issuers, acquirers, PSPs, wallets and fintech platforms, defining APIs, data flows and authentication models.
• Leverage SQL, Python and analytics to validate transaction data and generate actionable insights.
• Support implementation planning, coordinate with delivery teams and ensure smooth transition from design to rollout.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related field.
• 5‑8 years of experience in payments, banking technology or fintech solution architecture.
• Strong understanding of payment ecosystems and ability to translate business needs into scalable technical designs.
• Proficiency in conducting technical discovery, requirements gathering and architecture assessments.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills in English and local language.

Required skills

• SQL for data extraction and analysis.
• Python and Jupyter Notebooks for proof‑of‑concepts and automation.
• API design and integration.
• Experience with cloud platforms, micro‑services and modern software architectures.
