Senior Manager, Manufacturing Engineering

About the role

The Senior Manager, Manufacturing Engineering will lead the footwear manufacturing engineering team, partnering with cross‑functional groups to develop, optimize and sustain manufacturing systems, processes and tools that support Nike’s commitment to athletes.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure manufacturing partners meet Nike’s strategic goals and quality standards.
• Collaborate with Footwear Manufacturing Systems Engineering and factory teams to evaluate global initiatives.
• Drive implementation of best practices, new capabilities and emerging technologies on the factory floor.
• Participate in product tear‑down meetings to provide manufacturing feedback and resolve risks.
• Manage and develop a high‑performing, diverse Manufacturing Engineering team.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in engineering, technology or a scientific discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of footwear industry experience in manufacturing, engineering or development.
• Proven ability to work across multiple functions and stakeholders.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience using data and statistical methods for decision‑making.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with standard MS Office applications.
• Experience using business intelligence tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
