Senior Java Back End Developer (ClickHouse & CRM)

About the role

The Senior Java Back End Developer will design, develop and maintain backend systems and CRM‑related applications, with a strong focus on ClickHouse‑based data processing. The role supports the Optimus / Source Reporting team by delivering scalable, high‑performance solutions for reporting and application delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable backend architecture and RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop and optimise ClickHouse data models, queries, and ETL pipelines for analytical workloads.
• Ensure data integrity, performance, and consistency across CRM and analytical systems.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers, data engineers, business stakeholders and project teams in an Agile environment.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of hands‑on Java backend development experience.
• At least 2 years working with ClickHouse or a similar columnar analytical database.
• Experience building or maintaining CRM applications and working in Agile/Scrum teams.
• Strong understanding of object‑oriented programming, design patterns and software architecture.

• Java, Spring Framework / Spring Boot
• ClickHouse, SQL (including ClickHouse dialect)
• Relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL or Oracle
• Microservices architecture, message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
• Caching (Redis), RESTful API development
• Version control (Git) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins)
• Issue tracking tools (Jira)
