Research, Learning & Knowledge Management Manager (KREASI)

About the role

The Research, Learning and Knowledge Management Manager leads KREASI’s research agenda, learning processes and knowledge products to influence policy and practice in foundational learning across Indonesia. Reporting to senior program leadership, the role ensures technical quality, integrates gender, disability and climate considerations, and supports advocacy for scaling effective approaches.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and continuously improve KREASI’s Research and Learning Agenda in line with baseline findings, partner priorities and government strategies.
• Provide line management and technical oversight to the external research consultant and coordinate with Education, Advocacy and M&E managers to ensure coherence across program components.
• Lead the creation and dissemination of knowledge products, policy briefs, learning events and advocacy materials for national and sub‑national stakeholders.
• Maintain a knowledge management system that organizes research outputs, case studies and learning resources for internal and external use.
• Ensure all research activities comply with Save the Children policies, ethical standards and child safeguarding requirements.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in education, social research, public policy, international development, statistics or related field (PhD preferred).
• 5–7 years of progressive experience designing and managing research and learning agendas in low‑resource education settings.
• Demonstrated experience working with Indonesian government agencies, donors and research institutions.
• Strong understanding of Indonesia’s education system, policy environment and evidence‑generation landscape.
• Proven ability to lead multi‑stakeholder teams and produce high‑quality knowledge products for advocacy.
