Quality Assurance Automation Engineer Katalon

About the role

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Automation Engineer specialized in Katalon to design, develop and maintain automated test scripts for web and mobile applications. The role will support functional and regression testing while collaborating closely with developers, product owners and senior test engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain automated test scripts using Katalon, Appium and related frameworks.
• Execute automated test suites for functional and regression testing of web and mobile applications.
• Continuously optimise test scripts for efficiency, reliability and coverage.
• Work with senior Test Automation Engineers, developers and Product Owners to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Participate in team meetings, knowledge‑sharing sessions and training programs.
• Review test plans, test cases and QA documentation for accuracy.
• Provide technical assistance to troubleshoot issues in test scripts and environments.
• Maintain detailed records of test results, defects and coverage, and prepare summary reports for stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in test automation development for web applications.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Willingness to work both remotely and onsite in Malang.

Required skills

• Programming in Java or JavaScript.
• Test automation tools: Katalon, Appium.
• SQL query writing.
• API testing using Postman or Swagger.
• Version control with Git (optional but preferred).
