Quality Assurance and Laboratory Manager

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Quality Assurance and Laboratory Manager to lead our QA, QC and laboratory functions. You will ensure product quality, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across all manufacturing processes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead QA, QC and laboratory teams to maintain consistent product quality.
• Develop, implement and improve Quality Management Systems, SOPs and policies.
• Oversee laboratory testing, raw‑material inspection, in‑process controls and finished‑product evaluation.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, FSSC 22000, ISO 22000 and GLP standards.
• Manage internal and external audits, CAPA implementation and corrective actions.
• Monitor quality KPIs, analyse data and recommend improvements.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, calibration, chemical inventory and waste handling.
• Collaborate with Production, R&D, Procurement, Warehouse and other functions to resolve quality issues.
• Coach and develop team members to build technical competency and a high‑performance culture.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Pharmacy, Animal Science, Fisheries, Agricultural Technology or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of QA/QC/Lab experience in Food & Beverage, Pet Food, Feedmill, Pharmaceutical or similar manufacturing.
• At least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of QMS, GMP, HACCP, FSSC 22000, ISO 22000 and GLP.
• Hands‑on experience with laboratory operations, raw‑material inspection and equipment management.
• Proven track record in audits, root‑cause analysis, CAPA and continuous‑improvement projects.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Fluent in English and willing to work full‑time on‑site in Palembang.
