Project Director – Energy

About the role

We are seeking a senior Project Director to lead energy projects across marketing, engineering, construction and maintenance. The role ensures delivery within budget, schedule and quality standards while meeting client expectations in Jakarta and regional markets.

Key responsibilities

• Assess project feasibility, productivity and ROI, defining and managing risks and assumptions.
• Develop and present technical and commercial bid proposals for local and overseas projects.
• Oversee project finances, budgeting and financial reporting to maximise value for money.
• Review status reports from Project Managers and Senior Managers, providing expertise and resolving issues.
• Negotiate contract pricing and maintain strong client relationships to identify new business opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with company SOPs, quality, HSE policies and ethical standards.
• Lead staff recruitment, training, performance management and disciplinary actions.
• Contribute to the development of risk‑management procedures and policies.

Required profile

• Degree or MBA in an engineering discipline.
• More than 10 years of experience in project management, preferably in renewable energy.
• Proven track record managing large‑scale projects valued at $1 billion or more.
• Strong strategic, organisational and leadership capabilities.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
