Power Plant Manager – Wärtsilä Engine

About the role

The Power Plant Manager will lead the safe, reliable and efficient operation of a Wärtsilä engine power plant located in Batam, Indonesia. Reporting to senior management, you will ensure regulatory compliance, optimise performance and drive continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily plant operations to maintain safety, reliability and efficiency.
• Develop and refine operational procedures, systems and processes.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, environmental, safety and company standards.
• Optimise asset performance, maintenance planning and reliability.
• Lead troubleshooting and corrective actions to minimise downtime.
• Manage budgets, resources and manpower effectively.
• Coach and develop the plant team to achieve operational excellence.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in power plant operations.
• At least 3 years in a managerial role within power plant operations.
• Proven experience with Wärtsilä engine power plants.
• Willingness to be based in Batam.
