PMO & Operations Officer

About the role

Ampowr is expanding its Southeast Asia office in Jakarta to develop and manage battery energy storage (BESS) and solar PV projects. The PMO & Operations Officer will support the COO’s office by overseeing project‑management processes, licensing, and vendor coordination across multiple tenders.

Key responsibilities

• Research Indonesia’s vendor and EPC landscape for solar PV and BESS projects, mapping active contractors, suppliers and assessing fit.
• Set up and run meetings with potential EPC partners, vendors and other counterparties, preparing briefing notes and follow‑up.
• Support the relationship and workstreams arising from the MOU with Indonesia’s Ministry of Villages, Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration.
• Manage IUPTL (electricity business licence) registration and other licensing workstreams together with the appointed law firm and BDO Indonesia.
• Maintain registration and compliance of Ampowr and its project entities in PLN’s Vendor Management System (VMS) and DPT pre‑qualified vendor list.
• Keep project and investor data rooms up‑to‑date, organized and version‑controlled across multiple tenders.
• Track additional compliance workstreams such as environmental permitting (AMDAL/UKL‑UPL) and business classification code updates.
• Update project trackers, follow up with work‑stream owners on status and deadlines, and prepare partner briefings and internal status decks.
• Contribute to building operating processes and document standards for the new Southeast Asia office.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of experience in strategy consulting, transaction advisory or a Big 4 strategy/deals practice.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or another technical field (post‑graduate degree a plus).
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a high volume of documentation accurately.
• Fluent written and spoken English and Bahasa Indonesia.
• Comfortable working with limited structure and independently following up across multiple parallel workstreams.
• Prior exposure to energy, infrastructure or project finance is a plus but not required.
