About the role

The Operational Vendor Management role at BASF focuses on overseeing import‑export activities, ensuring compliance with company SOPs and regulatory guidelines, and driving performance of logistics partners.

Key responsibilities

Monitor daily import‑export operations to ensure alignment with SOPs and working instructions.
Manage performance of the Lead Logistic Provider (LLP) and Logistic Service Providers (LSPs).
Supervise export processes in BASF Indonesia, meeting agreed performance targets and service levels.
Evaluate transport service provider performance against KPIs and conduct periodic quality reviews.
Track box and ISO‑tank usage, carrier utilization by lane, and maintain carrier issue logs.
Handle SPOT process escalations and support OVM lead on deviations.
Explore digital tools for process improvement and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Manage pre‑leg transport management (TM) activities and ensure accurate export cost reporting.
