Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability & Learning Coordinator (AP Nias)

About the role

The Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability & Learning (MEAL) Coordinator will lead the planning and implementation of the MEAL plan for the AP Nias program, supporting both sponsorship and non‑sponsorship projects. This role ensures that all monitoring and evaluation activities align with national strategies, ministry policies, and World Vision standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the AP monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning plan.
• Ensure alignment with relevant strategies, policies, and standards (e.g., national disaster preparedness, child sponsorship guidelines).
• Improve the monitoring and evaluation capacity of operating‑model partners and track partner‑managed outputs and outcomes.
• Provide technical support for AP design documents, grant proposals, and beneficiary tracking tools.
• Facilitate stakeholder involvement at city and local levels during design, monitoring, and evaluation phases.
• Collaborate with the AP team and partners to create MEAL plans, budgets, and integrate cross‑cutting themes such as gender analysis, child protection, and Christ‑centered commitment.
• Offer technical advice on budgeting for MEAL activities and support resource mobilization.
• Coordinate with local governments to share resources and ensure efficient MEAL implementation.
• Manage short‑cycle project MEAL strategies (projects < 1 year or <$30,000 USD).
• Lead capacity‑building initiatives for partners and community stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience in monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning within humanitarian or development programs.
• Strong understanding of child protection, gender inclusion, and faith‑based program contexts.
• Ability to work collaboratively with government agencies, operating‑model partners, and community groups.
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills, with a focus on data‑driven decision making.
