L1 Cloud Monitoring Engineer

About the role

The L1 Cloud Monitoring Engineer will provide end‑to‑end support for customers using Microsoft Cloud services. You will monitor cloud infrastructure, ensure system availability and performance, and act as the first point of contact for incidents and service requests.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor Azure and related cloud services to maintain operational stability.
• Analyse, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues while keeping accurate ticket documentation.
• Respond to customer inquiries, incidents and service requests within SLA timelines via email, ticketing systems and collaboration tools.
• Escalate complex problems to senior engineers or specialised teams and coordinate resolution efforts.
• Perform routine health checks, preventive maintenance and support 24/7 operational requirements through shift schedules and on‑call rotations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum three years of experience in cloud infrastructure support or technical support.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem‑solving and communication abilities.
• Customer‑oriented mindset and ability to work collaboratively in a team.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Azure.
• Familiarity with Windows Server.
• Understanding of networking concepts.
• Experience with ticketing systems and SLA‑driven support environments.
