Head of Human Resources

About the role

We are looking for a senior HR leader to develop and execute human‑resource strategies that support the company’s business objectives and workforce needs. The role oversees all HR functions within a shipyard environment, ensuring compliance with Indonesian labour law and fostering a positive workplace culture.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, SOPs and procedures aligned with business goals.
• Lead HR Operations, Industrial Relations, Performance Management and Employee Engagement.
• Handle industrial‑relations activities, including grievance handling, disciplinary actions and dispute resolution.
• Manage performance‑management processes such as KPI setting, appraisals, succession planning and talent development.
• Monitor HR metrics, prepare management reports on headcount, recruitment, turnover, absenteeism, productivity, training and other KPIs.
• Partner with HSE and operational teams to support workforce planning, safety culture and regulatory compliance.
• Mentor and develop the HR team, driving continuous improvement across all HR processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, HR Management, Law, Business Administration or related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
• Minimum 10 years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role within shipyard, shipbuilding, manufacturing, engineering or EPC sectors.
• Strong knowledge of Indonesian Labour Law, industrial relations and statutory compliance.
• CHRM certification is highly advantageous.
• Proven experience in recruitment, manpower planning, compensation & benefits, learning & development and employee relations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation and stakeholder‑management abilities.
