Financial Crime Team Leader – KYC & Transaction Monitoring

About the role

The Financial Crime Team Leader will oversee the day‑to‑day delivery of KYC or Transaction Monitoring workloads for PwC’s Financial Crime Unit in Yogyakarta. Reporting to operations leadership, the role ensures that analysts and quality‑control staff meet service level agreements, quality benchmarks and regulatory standards while driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily delivery of assigned KYC or Transaction Monitoring cases, allocating work, prioritising tasks and balancing team capacity against targets.
• Monitor productivity, quality outcomes and turnaround times, identifying risks or bottlenecks and escalating as needed.
• Provide coaching, performance feedback and regular check‑ins to analysts and QC staff, supporting onboarding and fostering a high‑performance culture.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures and regulatory expectations, supporting quality remediation and audit readiness.
• Act as first‑line escalation point for delivery issues, delivering status updates, metrics and insights to Operations Managers.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading KYC, Transaction Monitoring or related AML teams in a high‑volume, risk‑sensitive environment.
• Strong performance‑management and people‑leadership capabilities.
• Excellent understanding of regulatory standards and quality governance.
• Ability to translate operational plans into daily execution and drive continuous improvement.
