Field CTO – Indonesia

About the role

The Field CTO serves as a technical visionary and trusted advisor to telecom customers, focusing on day‑to‑day technical matters and ensuring customer satisfaction. The role collaborates with the Country GM, sales, product development, engineering and customer success teams to drive solution‑oriented conversations and shape product strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the technical authority during customer engagements, delivering product demonstrations, technical presentations and proof‑of‑concept deployments.
• Design end‑to‑end BSS solutions that address billing, revenue management, customer experience and service provisioning while aligning with customer infrastructure and regulatory requirements.
• Stay up‑to‑date on telecom trends such as 5G, IoT and cloud‑native architectures, advising customers on transformation strategies and representing the company at industry events.
• Work closely with implementation teams to ensure seamless deployment, provide escalation support for complex issues and advocate for customer feedback internally.
• Collaborate with product management and marketing to influence roadmap, create technical content and mentor sales engineers and technical account managers.

Required profile

• 15+ years of experience in telecommunications, BSS software or related fields, with a proven track record in pre‑sales, solution architecture or technical sales.
• Experience working with major telecom operators or tier‑1 vendors.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, able to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities, customer‑centric mindset and leadership capability to influence cross‑functional teams and senior executives.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of BSS software solutions (billing, CRM, revenue management, service delivery platforms).
• Understanding of telecom networks and protocols (5G, OSS/BSS integration, NFV, SDN).
• Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Experience with APIs, microservices architecture and integration with third‑party systems.
