CP Business Controller

About the role

Syngenta Crop Protection, a crop protection company headquartered in Switzerland, is looking for a CP Business Controller in Indonesia. The role manages a small Finance team to drive end-to-end sustainable business growth in CP Commercial areas for Indonesia and Malaysia. It works closely with the Reporting and Tax function as part of the Finance Leadership Team (FLT) and deputizes for the Finance Head in business-related meetings.

Key responsibilities

• Provide key insights to cross-functional teams and support business growth through rigorous evaluation of P&L and key business and operational drivers.
• Act as strategic business partner to the ID and MY CPLT, covering financial reporting and analysis, compliance and process improvement.
• Drive delivery of stretched financial performance and targets, including working capital management.
• Analyse business performance on sales, pricing, margins, credit management and costs, then define action plans to exceed targets.
• Review monthly and quarterly forecasts and drive the annual budgeting process for the Commercial Unit.
• Lead the finance strategic agenda within the FLT together with Business Facing, Finance Operations and Shared Services.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; professional accounting certification preferred.
• Minimum 12 years of relevant finance experience.
• Prior experience with a Big Four audit firm is an advantage.
• Fluent in English, written and spoken.
