Country Director, Indonesia Country Program

About the role

PATH, a global nonprofit dedicated to health equity, seeks an Indonesian‑national Country Director to lead its Indonesia Country Program. The Director will oversee the design, implementation and scientific integrity of PATH’s health initiatives, acting as the organization’s legal representative in Indonesia and championing its reputation locally and internationally.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership by ensuring programs are built on rigorous scientific standards and respond to evolving regulatory and policy landscapes.
• Partner with internal peers to maintain programmatic excellence and align interventions with global health trends.
• Lead Indonesia program teams in setting clear objectives, interventions and evaluation strategies consistent with PATH’s mission.
• Serve as PATH’s legal country representative, maintaining relationships with government, donors, private sector, NGOs and UN agencies.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities in collaboration with PATH headquarters’ fundraising and business development units.
• Ensure projects meet budgetary constraints and fulfill donor agreements.

Required profile

• Indonesian national with extensive experience in leading large‑scale health programs or NGOs.
• Proven ability to build and sustain diverse donor and project portfolios.
• Strong understanding of Indonesia’s public health landscape, regulatory environment and digital health initiatives.
• Excellent representation skills for both local and international stakeholder engagement.
