Cloud Engineer – AWS L1 Operations (Jakarta)

About the role

We are looking for a Cloud Engineer to join our managed‑service team in Jakarta. The role focuses on day‑to‑day AWS operations, providing L1 support and ensuring platform reliability for our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in a 24×7 on‑site shift rotation at our Jakarta office.
• Handle AWS resource provisioning requests and respond to service inquiries.
• Monitor platform availability and performance against defined metrics.
• Produce monthly reports on platform health and infrastructure usage.
• Troubleshoot incidents, perform root‑cause analysis and implement fixes.
• Collaborate with Lead and L2 engineers to improve operational processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of hands‑on experience in AWS cloud engineering.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and capacity to work both independently and within cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• AWS certification is a plus.

Required skills

• AWS cloud infrastructure administration.
• Networking concepts such as VPC, routing, firewalls, load balancers and VPNs.
• Linux system administration and scripting (Shell, Python).
• Container platforms – Kubernetes, OpenShift or Docker.
• Infrastructure‑as‑code tools – Terraform (preferred) and Ansible (preferred).
