Centralized Product Development Officer

About the role

Astro Technologies Indonesia is seeking a Centralized Product Development Officer to lead the creation of new food products from concept to market launch. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to turn kitchen recipes into scalable manufacturing processes while ensuring quality and cost efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new food products through formulation, prototyping, and validation.
• Conduct product trials, sensory evaluations, and shelf‑life studies.
• Translate kitchen recipes into scalable manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with Operations, Procurement, QA/QC, and Commercial teams during development and launch.
• Reformulate existing products to improve cost, quality, and performance.
• Prepare and maintain product documentation, including formulations, specifications, SOPs, and technical reports.
• Source and evaluate new ingredients and packaging materials.
• Support production trials and first commercial production to ensure successful launch.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Culinary Arts, or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in R&D, Product Development, or New Product Development in the food & beverage industry (fresh graduates with relevant internships are welcome).
• Understanding of food formulation and processing principles.
• Experience in central kitchen, QSR, cloud kitchen, or food manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with food safety standards, GMP, HACCP, and relevant regulations.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and stakeholder‑management abilities.
