Business Development Officer – Higher Education Partnerships

About the role

AECC is expanding its global footprint and seeks a dynamic Business Development Officer to grow its network of university and college partners in Surabaya. You will lead the creation of strategic collaborations, articulation programmes and joint initiatives that enhance student mobility and drive enrollment.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and target potential partner institutions, including universities, colleges and educational organisations.
• Develop and maintain relationships with university officials, academic departments and faculty to negotiate partnership agreements.
• Collaborate with internal teams to design articulation pathways, joint programmes and market‑aligned initiatives.
• Conduct market research to spot trends, competitor strategies and new opportunities in higher education.
• Represent AECC at conferences, fairs and networking events to generate leads and promote the organisation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Education or a related field.
• Proven experience in business development, partnership management or sales, preferably in higher education.
• Strong knowledge of articulation agreements, credit‑transfer policies and international collaboration.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
• Strategic mindset with ability to assess market trends and develop actionable plans.
• Proactive, self‑motivated and able to manage multiple projects and travel domestically and internationally.
