Back End Engineer – Freelance

About the role

We are looking for a freelance Back End Engineer to join our Corporate IT & IS team in West Jakarta. You will be responsible for building and maintaining GraphQL APIs for our CMS while collaborating with existing Golang services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain GraphQL schemas and resolvers using TypeScript on Apollo Server.
• Integrate and support Golang services that operate behind the GraphQL layer.
• Test, monitor, and recommend improvements to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with DevOps to define deployment strategies and assist with release processes.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis of system issues and perform unit testing.
• Develop technical specifications, design documents, and translate user requirements into functional solutions.
• Leverage AI‑assisted coding tools to accelerate development while maintaining code quality.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of software engineering experience.
• Proficiency with TypeScript, Apollo Server, and Golang.
• Strong requirement‑analysis and SDLC experience.
• Familiarity with AI‑assisted coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot.
• Excellent problem‑solving, critical‑thinking, and teamwork skills.
