Associate – Deals Advisory – Energy Transition

About the role

PwC Indonesia’s Energy Transition Advisory team is seeking an Associate to support clients in planning and implementing Indonesia’s energy transition. You will work on complex, cross‑sector projects that blend financial analysis, policy design, and strategic advisory to create sustainable value for both public and private stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Design energy transition plans for integrated energy players to attract investment.
• Identify incentive mechanisms and policy support for renewable energy development.
• Develop national‑level roadmaps for large‑scale energy storage systems, including financial and regulatory recommendations.
• Assess commercial and financial viability of converting captive power fleets to gas or renewable sources.
• Quantify fiscal impacts of accelerated coal‑plant retirements and evaluate economic effects of regulatory changes.
• Conduct feasibility studies and financial modelling for renewable energy, green hydrogen, energy efficiency, and alternative fuels.
• Analyse EV and battery market size, design charging service models, and explore business models for energy transition benefits.

Required profile

• Strong interest in energy transition and sustainability challenges.
• Academic background in finance, economics, engineering, or related fields.
• Analytical mindset with ability to work on multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Bahasa Indonesia is a plus.
