Area Sales Representative

About the role

The Area Sales Representative will manage a defined territory in South Jakarta, building strong relationships with key retail outlets and ensuring the successful execution of marketing and sales initiatives. This role requires a proactive approach to market development, data‑driven performance tracking, and close collaboration with distributors and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with key outlets through regular market visits.
• Ensure implementation of marketing offers across the assigned territory.
• Lead demand‑generation activities such as trade meetings and market storming events.
• Drive retailer and IWS network expansion, improve product mix and throughput.
• Monitor and coach DSR productivity, covering market coverage and PJP.
• Select retailers/IWS for branding deployment and gather market intelligence.
• Collaborate with the EM team and align actions with distributors.
• Promote adoption of digital tools (SFADMS, CB/ITP, DMS) and track promotional material effectiveness.
• Track monthly sales performance versus DBP in partnership with the DB team.
• Develop detailed customer profiling to support strategic decisions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (S1) with at least 4 years of experience, preferably in lubricants or FMCG.
• Strong leadership and team‑management abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven track record in building relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Knowledge of distribution and sales operations is desirable.
• Valid driver’s license (SIM A).
• Result‑oriented, aggressive mindset with a history of exceeding targets.
• Experience launching new brands in competitive markets; business acquisition experience is a plus.
