Airport Staff (Airlines)

About the role

The Airport Staff member ensures smooth passenger handling, flight‑operations support and baggage processing at the airport while complying with airline, airport and national regulations. The role also provides high‑quality customer service to all passengers, including VIPs and passengers with special needs.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise check‑in, boarding and arrival processes, verify travel documents and assist VIPs, unaccompanied minors, elderly and passengers with special requests.
• Coordinate with ramp, security and baggage teams to minimise aircraft ground time and ensure on‑time departures and arrivals.
• Oversee baggage tagging, loading, unloading and manage lost‑and‑found reports and passenger claims.
• Handle passenger inquiries, concerns and complaints, providing accurate flight information and maintaining high customer‑satisfaction standards.
• Prepare and submit operational reports (lounge, airport tax, stock, delay, etc.) and promptly report any irregularities or security issues.
• Ensure full compliance with company manuals, airline regulations and airport authority requirements.
• Coordinate with ground handling agents, immigration, customs and airline crew, and apply for slot/flight permissions when needed.
• Perform administrative duties such as invoice handling, report preparation and supporting supervisors/managers.

Required profile

• Minimum Diploma III (or higher) with at least 2 years experience in airline passenger handling or airport operations.
• Knowledge of the Amadeus system is an advantage.
• Fluent written and spoken English (TOEIC > 600 or equivalent).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook) and good email etiquette.
• Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
