Accounting Officer

About the role

The Accounting Officer will support Astro Technologies Indonesia by ensuring accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions. This role involves maintaining the general ledger, reconciling accounts, and assisting with month‑end and year‑end closing processes. The officer will also work closely with inventory and audit teams to uphold strong internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions and prepare journal entries.
• Perform account reconciliations and maintain the general ledger.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and coordinate root‑cause analysis with relevant departments.
• Process inventory adjustment transactions based on approved findings and documentation.
• Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.
• Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors and support audit processes.
• Ensure accounting processes comply with company policies and applicable standards.
• Identify and propose improvements to accounting procedures and internal controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in accounting, finance, or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and analytical problem‑solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Integrity, responsibility, and confidentiality in handling financial information.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
• Familiarity with taxation regulations (a plus).
