Manager I, Engineering Project Management

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Manager I to lead engineering and manufacturing projects within its Indonesia facility. The role will oversee the full project lifecycle, from planning and budgeting to execution and hand‑over, ensuring projects meet cost, quality and delivery targets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead cross‑functional project teams covering technical design, equipment installation, process implementation, business systems and regulatory approvals.
• Develop detailed project plans, define scope, schedule, capital and expense budgets, and allocate resources.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, vendors and suppliers to achieve project objectives.
• Identify, assess and mitigate project risks, providing regular progress reports to site management.
• Support creation and maintenance of engineering documentation, SOPs and templates.
• Manage improvement, technology transfer and equipment‑related projects to ensure timely delivery and compliance.
• Conduct feasibility studies and recommend solutions for new equipment installations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of project or engineering management experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong command of spoken and written English.
• Proven track record of leading multiple cross‑functional projects.
• Hands‑on experience with budget management and capital project tracking.
• Leadership, collaboration and problem‑solving abilities.
• Experience in the medical‑device or pharmaceutical industry is a plus.
• PMP certification is a strong advantage.
