Project Officer – Emergency Response (FOSTER) – Manggarai

About the role

The Project Officer will support the Flores Earthquake Emergency Response (FOSTER) project by coordinating daily planning and implementation activities at the community level in Manggarai. This role serves as the primary community mobilizer, ensuring that project interventions reach the most vulnerable children, families, and households affected by the August 2026 earthquake.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate day‑to‑day planning and execution of project activities in the field.
• Act as the main community mobilizer, engaging local groups, partners, and authorities.
• Provide technical assistance and guidance to community groups and local partners implementing project components.
• Coordinate with local government, churches, schools, health facilities, and humanitarian partners to restore essential services.
• Support organizational preparedness and response efforts, ensuring compliance with World Vision standards and donor requirements.

Required profile

• Experience in community‑based project implementation and mobilization.
• Familiarity with humanitarian principles and emergency response contexts.
• Ability to work effectively with vulnerable groups, including children, pregnant women, persons with disabilities, and the elderly.
• Strong communication and coordination skills for liaising with local partners and authorities.
