Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability & Learning Officer (MEALO)

About the role

The Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability & Learning Officer (MEALO) will support community‑based data collection and help build a robust MEAL system for child‑focused programs in Lombok. Working closely with program teams and partners, the officer will ensure that monitoring and evaluation activities are carried out effectively and that learning is documented and shared.

Key responsibilities

• Collect routine community data to inform program monitoring and evaluation.
• Support the development and implementation of a community‑based MEAL system.
• Assist the MEAL Coordinator in facilitating program planning and grant design with local stakeholders.
• Utilize existing resources efficiently and support project management activities.
• Provide capacity‑building and technical assistance to partners, cadres, and community members on monitoring and evaluation.
• Document project materials, reports, and field learnings for future planning.
• Conduct regular monitoring visits, baseline surveys, and field evaluations.
• Facilitate participative learning sessions to strengthen community ownership of programs.
• Report monitoring data to the MEAL Coordinator and Program Manager in an accountable and valid manner.
• Maintain and update the complaint‑feedback response mechanism and feedback tracker.
• Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and annual program reports.
• Build partnerships with local organizations, institutions, and village‑level entities.

Required profile

• Experience in community‑based monitoring, evaluation, and learning processes.
• Ability to support program teams and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong facilitation and technical assistance skills for capacity building.
• Good documentation and reporting abilities.
